I would like to extend my wishs for a very Happy and Prosperous New Year” to everyone.

This is the time when many people make new year resolutions for changes in their lives.  Many will decide to make a plan to loose weight, exercise more,  stop smoking, start a brand new job or even further their education to become more prosperous in their daily life.  This is very admirable and I applaud you and  wish the very best in your ventures.

These changes to your physical self are very important and will help your spiritual self.  There are other changes that can be made to uplift your spiritual self that will help us deal with the extreme negativity that we are exposed to every single day.  How about a resolution to think with “love”.  Love for yourself and others is great and can be very contagious.  When we are nice to another person, it is easy for them to be nice back to us.  Also, keeping a positive attitude towards everything we do will bring around positive events in our life, as good brings good right back to us.  When we believe in what we want to accomplish in our life and take the action to get there,  it is inevitable that we will be successful.

We can also make a resolution to help others who are truly in need.  They could be people in our family, those who are homeless,  elderly people or even sending financial support to places like St. Jude’s Hospital who take care of the children even if the parents are without health insurance.  Even a small contribution can add up when many people do the same. 

Helping others who are less fortunate then ourselves can be a very rewarding act of kindness.  It doesn’t matter if you don’t have money to give, you can give your time in homeless shelters, or even check in on the elderly to see if you can do anthing for them.  Sometimes, all they need is someone to talk to.

If we would all make a plan to extend love and positive feelings to our fellow man, we could start a chain reaction that could make our world a better place to live.  Just think if everyone did this and we could stop the wars and killings that happen every minute of every day.
